We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build and run the platforms behind IPRally. You'll work closely with our developers to streamline the software development lifecycle so we can ship faster, test more confidently, and release with less friction

This search through millions of patents is crucial but incredibly time-consuming when done manually. We're changing that. Our AI-powered platform delivers unmatched search accuracy, helping companies make confident decisions about their innovations. We're trusted by leading global innovators, including Google, Unilever, and Bosch.

As a thriving AI scale-up with widely adopted SaaS products, we face ongoing infrastructure and development challenges. Our DevOps team is crucial in addressing these complexities by building the platforms that let IPRally scale and give our engineers leverage to ship seamlessly. The work offers excellent opportunities for learning and professional growth. We are a team of approximately 50 people, with 20 engineers distributed across Helsinki and various European locations.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.

• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments.

• Build internal tooling that reduces toil and lets developers ship without waiting on us

• Own observability across the stack, including metrics, logs, traces, so developers have what they need to debug, optimize, and operate their services.

• Partner with development teams to understand their workflows and deliver DevOps solutions that genuinely fit their needs.

• Take on SRE responsibilities for our self-hosted components (e.g. Vespa.ai), including disaster recovery, incident response, and database maintenance.

• Integrate security best practices into all aspects of the DevOps process.

What you need

• Proficient with Kubernetes and containers

• Experience architecting platforms for hosting SaaS applications on top of any major cloud platform

• Familiar with modern software development practices and their pain points

• Familiar with blame-aware postmortems, disaster recovery, incident response, and developer experience (DevEx).

• Fluent in English, our company language

Nice to have

• ML infrastructure knowledge

• Experience hosting highly available stateful workloads on Kubernetes.

• Experience securing agentic AI systems. The industry is moving toward agents and agentic development and we need to be ready for it.
